Andy has people working for him who will come around regularly if anything needs fixing, but heand his team only come around when asked and they give plenty of notice if they need to call round. In the last two years he has always made it feel like it is our home. He doesn’t mind us putting our own stamp on our rooms (within reason!). Posters for example were no problem. Overall with Andy and Prospect Property you will have an excellent house and no hassle. It all makes uni life so much easier!
My time at Hull Road was an enjoyable one and it was made all the better knowing that I had a reliable landlord who would quickly and efficiently solve any problems that occurred during my stay.
We first moved in to number 15 Heslington Road and then when it was going to be sold we wanted to stay with Andy as our landlord so we moved into number 51 for our final year! Over the past two years “Better Student Homes” has been speedy and friendly (i.e we reported our kettle broken and got a new one the same evening)! One of the best things about being with Prospect Property was that you were able to contact the landlord whenever a problem occurred. Having the contact numbers of plumbers/ electricians in the local area was also very helpful as it meant that when problems occured, which they inevitably do, you did not have to panic. You knew who to contact and they were often able to come out that day to have a look what the problem was. Andy is an approachable, friendly landlord and the fact that he cares about his properties is apparent in the conditions that they are kept in!
Brownlow Street was such a brilliant house. The quality alongside the location to YSJ was amazing, in fact everything was so amazing we stayed on another year! Another reason behind us staying was Andy and Paula. They were brilliant in looking after us, if anything was wrong with the house, or we needed some advice they were always there for us, we never went without for long! The house at Brownlow really became our home for 2 years, not just somewhere to rent, but somewhere to be happy and that was thanks to Andy, Paula and the team. All 6 of us agree that if we could move anywhere again it would be number 1 Brownlow Street.

Living at 9 Lawrence Street for the last 2 years has been a genuinely great experience due in no small part to the reliable, friendly and fair nature of both Paula and Andy. Whenever my fellow housemates or I needed anything both Andy and Paula were quick to respond and the service which they provided us helped make 9 Lawrence Street feel like home. I would definitely recommend Prospect Property to any students wishing to find accommodation in York.
We lived at Lawrence street for two years from 2018 to 2020. Andy was always able to help and make things as easy as possible for us. Whenever anything was broken it would be repaired or replaced immediately. We cannot fault Andy as a landlord. I personally have loved living in the house due to the location, the house itself and Andy as the landlord.
Thanks for being an excellent landlord! You were far and away the most informative and efficient we’ve dealt with. It was a fantastic year for all of us and the house was really lovely.
It is useful to have a list of contact details if anything goes wrong. Andy is an excellent landlord-if we needed anything replacing it has been done immediately.
